His wife, Laurie, told friends and family that he had abandoned them and started a new life. But as the years passed without anyone seeing or speaking to Michael, questions began to mount.

When a concerned friend finally contacted authorities, investigators turned their attention to the Shaver property, where a disturbing discovery would transform a missing-person investigation into a murder case.
