The Secret She Couldn’t Keep: The Tomaselli Recordings | Part 4
A NOTE BEFORE LISTENING: Following the secretly recorded conversations presented in the previous episodes, investigators asked Linda Sue Roberts to come in for an interview. The audio in Part 4 is the resulting conversation between Linda and detectives as they question her about her father’s death. For the clearest understanding of the events, please listen to Parts 1 through 3 before continuing.
This seven-part series features the secretly recorded conversations that helped expose the truth behind Anthony Tomaselli’s death. Crimeatorium obtained the recordings from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.
Four years after 85 year old Anthony Tomaselli’s death was attributed to natural causes, his daughter Linda Roberts invited a man she had been dating to her home and entrusted him with a disturbing secret about her father’s final night.
Realizing the enormity of what Linda was telling him, the man discreetly began recording their conversation. What started as a private confession would lead investigators back to a death no one had questioned.
Part 5 of the series will be released tomorrow.

Welcome to true crime stories with crimetorium.

Speaker B
00:00:25

All right.

Speaker C
00:00:28

And I appreciate. I appreciate you coming with us, and we'll discuss everything to you. I. This is my partner, Mike, and I'm Nelson, like I told you. All right.
I kind of want to talk to you. There's a couple things on top of talking to you about this incident. Husband.

Speaker D
00:01:02

Yes.

Speaker C
00:01:02

Okay. There's also a couple other things that I want to talk to you too.

Speaker D
00:01:07

Okay.

Speaker C
00:01:08

And I know I'm looking at, you know, from talking to you in the car, you seem pretty, you know, straightforward.

Speaker D
00:01:14

Okay.

Speaker C
00:01:14

Am I right?

Speaker D
00:01:15

Yes.

Speaker C
00:01:16

Okay. And I'm a type of person that I. I like honesty.

Speaker D
00:01:22

Okay.

Speaker C
00:01:23

All right. And I'll be honest with you and you be honest with me.

Speaker D
00:01:27

Okay.

Speaker C
00:01:28

Okay. And that's just the way how I work.

Speaker D
00:01:33

Okay.

Speaker C
00:01:33

All right. And my partner is the same way. Okay. So.

Speaker E
00:01:42

Do you. Do you.

Speaker C
00:01:43

Other than your. Is there. Do you know why you're here as well, or. No. Okay, well, I want to explain that to you. Okay. But before doing that. Okay.
Doesn't mean I'm gonna have. You know, here in the United States, we have rights, correct?

Speaker D
00:02:04

Correct.

Speaker C
00:02:05

So I. I just want to. I have to read you your rights. It doesn't mean you're under arrest or anything like that.

Speaker A
00:02:10

You're in a police station.

Speaker C
00:02:11

You're at a police station. We're here. I want to talk to you.

Speaker D
00:02:16

Okay.

Speaker A
00:02:16

And we'll give you some information. We'll tell you what's going on.

Speaker C
00:02:19

All right? So let's just get this out of the way, and then we'll move forward. Okay?

Speaker D
00:02:24

Okay.

Speaker C
00:02:25

Is that fair? All right. So, Linda, you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law.
You have the right to talk to a lawyer and have him or her present with you while you being questioned. If you cannot afford to hire a lawyer, one will be appointed to represent you before in question, if you wish.
You can decide at any time and exercise these rights and not answer any questions. Do you understand each of these rights I explained to you? Okay. How many rights in mind do you wish to talk to us? Okay.
Like I said to you, I want to explain everything to you.

Speaker D
00:02:58

Okay.

Speaker C
00:02:59

All right. So. So that's what we're. You're gonna. We're here. Okay.

Speaker F
00:03:06

All right.

Speaker C
00:03:07

Now you seem a little nervous.

Speaker D
00:03:09

Now, some of these read to your rights.

Speaker A
00:03:12

Yes, I understand. Okay, well, we'll explain this.

Speaker C
00:03:16

Okay, so let me back up here. So you said you lived here all your life. You were born here, right?

Speaker D
00:03:24

No, I was born in Chicago.

Speaker C
00:03:26

Born in Chicago.

Speaker D
00:03:27

My father brought us here in Hamlet.

Speaker A

Speaker A
00:03:38

Okay, you were young. Okay.

Speaker C
00:03:41

Okay, so you're young.

Speaker A
00:03:42

Very little.

Speaker C
00:03:43

So you don't really.

Speaker D
00:03:44

I remember even.

Speaker C
00:03:46

And you said your father, and then you guys ended up coming here with your. You said you had a sister, right?

Speaker D
00:03:55

I have a sister, yes.

Speaker C
00:03:56

And what else?

Speaker D
00:03:57

One brother.

Speaker C
00:03:58

One brother. So it's what, three of you?

Speaker D
00:04:00

Three of us.

Speaker A
00:04:01

Where's he at? Where's the brother?

Speaker D
00:04:02

My brother lives in Bradenton, Florida.

Speaker A
00:04:07

What's his name?

Speaker F
00:04:08

Charles.

Speaker D
00:04:09

Thomas. Elli.

Speaker A
00:04:10

Okay.

Speaker D
00:04:12

Okay, so T O M A S E L L I.

Speaker A
00:04:17

They're good. Okay. There we go.

Speaker C
00:04:19

Okay, so. So you guys are down here and you said. What did you do for 30 years, you said?

Speaker D
00:04:27

Worked as a nurse practitioner.

Speaker C
00:04:28

Nurse practitioner. Are you registered as a nurse practitioner through the state of Florida?

Speaker D
00:04:36

Well, registered.

Speaker C
00:04:37

By you mean the department of Health?

Speaker D
00:04:42

Well, I'm registered as a. Actually a medical assistant.

Speaker C
00:04:50

A medical assistant.

Speaker D
00:04:51

Right. Okay.

Speaker C
00:04:52

What does a medical assistant do?

Speaker D
00:04:54

I assist the doctor in surgery. I assist him anything he does. Injections, suture removals, Just everything that we do together, hand in hand.

Speaker C
00:05:10

Okay, so do you. So part. Is that a. What class? Where did you go for class for that?

Speaker D
00:05:17

Tampa College.

Speaker C
00:05:18

Tampa College.

Speaker A
00:05:19

So you're.

Speaker C
00:05:20

You're not. So you are a nurse practitioner or you're a medical assistant?

Speaker D
00:05:25

It's actually a medical. Certified medical assistant.

Speaker C
00:05:28

Okay, and then by that your job title is you assist the doctor? Yes.

Speaker D
00:05:36

Assistant, surgery.

Speaker C
00:05:38

Where do you guys usually have do surgery at?

Speaker D
00:05:40

In the office.

Speaker C
00:05:41

In the office. What kind of doctor is it?

Speaker D
00:05:44

General practitioner. We remove sebaceous cysts in the back moles for. By a feed through blood every day. Just whatever needed to be done during the day.

Speaker C
00:06:00

And do you go to hospitals for those as well, or just.

Speaker D
00:06:03

No, we do all in office.

Speaker C
00:06:05

All in office, yeah. Okay. And so you just. Do you. Do you give injections to. What kind of injections?

Speaker D
00:06:15

Whatever the doctor ordered.

Speaker C
00:06:17

Okay.

Speaker D
00:06:18

All right, so antibiotics.

Speaker C
00:06:20

Antibiotics. Okay, so you did this for how long?

Speaker D
00:06:23

30 Years.

Speaker C
00:06:24

And when did you retire?

Speaker D
00:06:26

I became disabled when I lost my vision. 19, Almost four years ago.

Speaker C
00:06:31

Four years ago?

Speaker D
00:06:32

Yes.

Speaker C
00:06:32

And wait, that would have been 2015?

Speaker D
00:06:36

Yes, I guess. 2015.

Speaker F
00:06:38

Yes.

Speaker C
00:06:39

Okay, so I was looking at a report. So your father. Your father's deceased, right?

Speaker D
00:06:52

Yes.

Speaker C
00:06:52

Okay. Can you tell me a little bit about that?

Speaker D
00:06:55

About what?

Speaker C
00:06:56

About what happened. How. What is he. What happened.

Speaker D
00:07:01

What happened to my father, the doctor? Well, he had. His companion died three weeks prior. To him. And he had dementia and he was going to go into Brookdale.

Speaker C
00:07:19

Okay.

Speaker D
00:07:19

My brother and sister and I all decided he was going to both camp.

Speaker C
00:07:22

Okay.

Speaker D
00:07:23

So he didn't want to go.

Speaker B
00:07:26

He was adamant about not going to an assisted living.

Speaker C
00:07:29

And what did your mom say and Linda say about that?

Speaker B
00:07:33

They argued with him about it. Like, you need to go. You need to be watched 24 7.
Like, kind of like they felt like it would bother me, which my grandfather and I had both agreed that it was not a problem for me to stay and take care of him. He was happy at this point.

Speaker E
00:07:48

Right.

Speaker B
00:07:49

You know, he was happy playing cards with me and watching prices. Right. All day and going to lunch. Like he had a life.
He did not want to be stuck in an assisted living facility with old people, as he called it, because I'll just die there. And that's what he said. He did not want to go there, but they were not happy with his decision.
My aunt said, I believe it was the night before he passed or, you know, when. The night she came to visit, that he was not able to make his own decisions and she felt like he was incompetent and things like that.

Speaker A
00:08:20

What is your opinion?

Speaker B
00:08:21

I disagreed with her big time. I disagreed. Sure.

Speaker C
00:08:24

You argued with her about that.

Speaker B
00:08:26

Well, I didn't argue because that's their dad, but I put my. My two cents in and said, like, you know, he's 85. The doctors don't think he needs to not have a license that he can drive.
They don't think he needs his power of attorney to take over his finances. He doesn't. I don't feel he was incompetent at all.

Speaker E
00:08:43

Okay, sure.

Speaker A
00:08:44

Living with him most of the time.

Speaker F
00:08:45

Right.

Speaker A
00:08:46

That's why we want to ask.

Speaker B
00:08:46

I mean, except for the last two days of his life when he started calling me Mary Beth and my mom Rosalie.

Speaker E
00:08:51

Right.

Speaker B
00:08:51

I started to see a decline those last two days, but within the 10 days, you know, sure, he'd forget little things like, did I take my milk of magnesia or did I take my pills? And he would just look in the container. But for the most part. For the most part, he would been all right to have me stay with.

Speaker D
00:09:05

Him, but he had to go there. It was a beautiful place. And my sister and I moved in after Shirley died, take care of my father because he had nobody.

Speaker B
00:09:19

But the last. The two nights prior, my mom and my aunt were there.

Speaker C
00:09:24

Did they always stay there?

Speaker B
00:09:26

They didn't. I was staying there. Like, they'd come visit him. But I was the one, after Shirley died that they wanted to move in because I wasn't working.
So they said that, you know, I could come in and stay with them, take them to appointments, keep them company. He liked to play cards. He just liked to take walks in the neighborhood.

Speaker D
00:09:42

So I could hear. My father. My father had lung cancer seven years ago.

Speaker C
00:09:50

Okay.

Speaker D
00:09:51

And the. He went. He was with Shirley. So I wasn't involved in his medical care during that time when Shirley was alive. Well, when I was there, my father was.
He said he felt like he had a stabbing pain in his chest and he had this awful cough. Very productive. And so I recognized that something was wrong. So my niece was also staying there. I said, call the doctor, make an appointment.
They need to do a chest X ray, see what's going on with my dad's lungs. So they did. So that night at seven o', clock, the doctor called me, Dr. Zion, and he said that your father has. They remove part.
They remove the lung cancer and three quarters of the lung, I believe.

Speaker C
00:10:43

When did they do that?

Speaker D
00:10:46

Probably five to six years ago.

Speaker C
00:10:48

Okay.

Speaker D
00:10:49

Okay. So he called me, he told me your father has a humongous mass in his other lung. And it looks. It could be.
It looks like a solid mass that he has cancer, has metastasized lungs. So he said, we need him to see first the cardiologist in the morning.
First thing, they made an appointment for him, and then they were going to go on to the lung doctor to get a biopsy of what this big mass was. So I said, okay. So he said, my dad told me, my sister, we. He said, I don't feel good. He says, I'm gonna lay down on the couch.
And they had two rockers on either end. He said, would you mind staying up while I lay down here and sleep?

Speaker B
00:11:46

But this night when he was doing his prayers, he dropped the. After he had drank, my mom was sitting there, Linda was sitting there.

Speaker C
00:11:54

So who gave him the drink? Do you remember?

Speaker F
00:11:56

I don't know.

Speaker B
00:11:57

I don't remember who gave him the drink, but it was an every night thing. Like he would just have a drink to relax himself. And the doctor, I remember his doctor would tell him that was fine because he was 85 years old.
Absolutely. So if he wanted to drink, fine. I remember my mom or Linda giving him an anxiety pill because he was getting more anxious and I was anxious.
So about nine, he was like shaking a little bit and dropped his book. I looked, thought something was wrong with him. And I told Linda, I said, there's something Wrong with him. Like, that's just not normal.
He never sat on the couch. He would always sit in his recliner. This night he sat where Shirley sits, was always on the couch. That's where he sat.
My mom gave me something, said, here, this will relax you. And just go take a shower and go lay down. It was about 11 o'.

Speaker F
00:12:45

Clock.

Speaker C
00:12:45

So who gave you that?

Speaker B
00:12:46

My mom. And she told me, go ahead, just go take a shower and go to bed.

Speaker C
00:12:51

Did you know what it was?

Speaker B
00:12:52

I don't know what it was because she was my mom. You know what I mean? So I remember feeling really tired. It was about 11 or 12.

Speaker C
00:13:00

So your mom.

Speaker B
00:13:06

I don't remember if it was like a Xanax or if it was just something to help me sleep because I had been up with him because he was my only father figure at this point. So, like, I worried about him. So, you know, like, if he wasn't in his bed by midnight, I would go say, papa, let's shut the TV off, let's go to bed.

Speaker C
00:13:24

Okay, so this was.

Speaker B
00:13:25

Do you remember it was between 11.

Speaker C
00:13:27

And 12 that she gave you that?

Speaker B
00:13:29

She gave it to me because she said, go take it. Or was it was my mom?

Speaker C
00:13:32

Your mom gave it.

Speaker B
00:13:33

And she told me to go ahead and go to sleep. That they would stay up with him because he was starting to call my mom, Rosalie. So she was a little concerned.
And then he was shaking and being Linda was a nurse, I, you know, thought both of them could handle it. Like that was your purpose, not to help me sleep, but so I wouldn't hear what you were doing.

Speaker D
00:13:49

And of course, sure we will. So he went to sleep snowing away. And it was probably about 2, 3 in the morning. My sister said, why don't we go lay in Dad's bed and get some rest.
He's sleeping, he's quiet. We said, okay. So we get up in the morning, 6 o', clock, about 6 o'.
Clock, and I walk right past him, went into the kitchen to make some coffee, and my sister got up and she went over, checked on him, and she yelled to me, something's wrong. Dad is not responding to me. So I went over there and I checked for a pulse. I felt a pulse, but wasn't thinking.
My father had a pacemaker in him, so of course he's going to have a pulse. But in that instance, you're not even thinking. So I called Dr. Mazer on the phone and I said, my dad is. Something's wrong. He's not breathing.
In the meantime, I told my sister, call 911. So she called 911 and came and I was doing CPR on him.
And they came in and they said, I don't remember the exact words, but they said, you need to get off your father now. We're going to continue. And I said, continue CPR on, please.
So anyway, they kind of whisked me off, put me on assurance that you have to sit and you have to be quiet. We'll go to father. So they, they rolled him over and.

Speaker A
00:15:21

Yeah, the couch were on the floor at this point.

Speaker D
00:15:24

I think they just rolled him over on the couch.

Speaker A
00:15:26

Okay, continue.

Speaker D
00:15:27

And they pulled up the shirt and he was all black and blue. So when you're deceased, your blood, obviously it's not circling. But he still had the pulse going, but that was the pacemaker making them pulse work.
So they get all his pills out of the cabinet that he takes. And they said he was short on his sleeping pills. So I said, well, I took him to the doctor several times to Dr. Zion.
And my father was very insistent that he was going to take two sleeping pills a night. And he told Dr. Zion that. Dr. Zion looked at me and he said, well, that's really not the prescribed dose. And my dad said, I don't care.
I'm taking two sleeping pills every night. So Dr. Zian said, okay, I will prescribe it that way for you.
So when the police said they told my sister we're short, they made my sister count the pills. I said, just call Dr. Zion, he'll straighten the whole thing out. Because it's noted in his computer that he's taking two pills a night.
So they then put him on the floor and they called the cremation place and everything set out and they came out, put a flag on him, cuz he fed him and took them. That's it.

Speaker C
00:17:05

That's it.

Speaker A
00:17:06

He got. Did he get what happened? Did they. Is he buried somewhere or is my dad buried somewhere?

Speaker D
00:17:12

Yeah, he's interned at.

Speaker C
00:17:18

Sylvan Abbey Abbey. Yeah.

Speaker A
00:17:21

Okay,.

Speaker C
00:17:24

You said you have kids, right?

Speaker D
00:17:26

$1.

Speaker C
00:17:28

What do you usually, you know, people make mistakes and I get that. Okay. And when your daughter makes a mistake, you want her to be honest with you, right?

Speaker D
00:17:40

Of course, of course.

Speaker C
00:17:41

And that's the way you raise her, right? So she does something or she did a mistake, you want her to, you know, part of it, you learn from your mistakes.
So I don't think you're not being very honest with me right now.

Speaker D
00:18:01

What do you mean?

Speaker C
00:18:03

Because that's not what happened with your father. Okay? And you know that. Okay. You know that that's not what happened with your father. So I want you to tell me again from the beginning. What.
What happened with your father.

Speaker D
00:18:25

I don't understand what you're talking about.

Speaker A
00:18:27

The story. I'm gonna lay it out for you. The story that you just provided to him is not what happened to your dad.

Speaker D
00:18:34

What happened to my dad.

Speaker A
00:18:36

I want you to go back and walk through this one more time. You need to pay attention to what's going on here, okay? What you said happened to your dad is not what happened to your dad.
You understand what I'm trying to tell you?

Speaker D
00:18:50

Not especially.

Speaker A
00:18:54

What.

Speaker D
00:18:55

What. What has changed that. That didn't happen to my father.

Speaker A
00:19:02

Okay?

Speaker C
00:19:05

So this is. This is what. I want you to think about it real hard right now, okay? Because. Your father. That's not exactly how it happened. Okay? And you know that.
Okay? So I'm going to give you. Because when I'm asking you questions, I already know the answer to it. Okay? Okay. And right now you were. And I'll.
And I. I get you're nervous. You're keeping this in and you're going with the same story that you had told the other officer when they originally came.
But that's not what happened.

Speaker A
00:19:52

We've been doing investigation, and that's not what happened. And you know that's not what happened. We're paying you the compliment of being upfront with you.
You need to pay us the same compliment and tell us what actually happened.

Speaker D
00:20:05

Who is giving you information, Other information?

Speaker C
00:20:11

Ma', am, I want to hear from you, okay? And I want to talk to you about it, okay?
So I know what happened, and I'm giving you the opportunity right now to talk to us and tell us your side of the story.

Speaker D
00:20:36

This is unbelievable. Does my sister know about this?

Speaker C
00:20:48

I know. I know what your sister did and I know what. I know what she did, and I know what you did. So right now it's not to continue to tell us.
The story that you're telling me is not right. I get your father was sick. He was ill. People make mistakes. Okay? And I know. I know everything. Okay?

Speaker D
00:21:24

From a trustworthy person, you know everything.

Speaker A
00:21:28

Who's not trustworthy.

Speaker C
00:21:32

Who's not trustworthy.

Speaker D
00:21:34

Somebody obviously told you something that could possibly not be trustworthy. The person is not a trustworthy person. And it's not Ted for sure. I can tell you that.

Speaker C
00:21:51

Okay? I know what your sister did, and I know what you did.

Speaker D
00:21:58

I don't understand.

Speaker C
00:22:00

I don't know who this person that you're talking about, but I know everything.

Speaker D
00:22:08

Well, I don't quite understand. Who would say anything to you. Who is this person that is giving you this information? I don't have a right to know that. They didn't leave a name.
They didn't tell you who they were.

Speaker A
00:22:28

They gave us a very detailed account of what happened. So I'm just trying to tell you there's no mystery about what happened.

Speaker D
00:22:36

They gave a detailed account?

Speaker A
00:22:40

Yes. I'm not bluffing. And you know I'm not bluffing.

Speaker C
00:22:49

And I'm not. And I'm being upfront with you, okay? And I know things and I just.
It's time right now for you to, you know, I know it's been weighing in on you all these years, which would be understandable. Okay, it would be understandable. That's normal to weigh in this much.

Speaker D
00:23:22

But I don't believe the person that told you is a trustworthy person and that.

Speaker A
00:23:28

All right, who is that person you're talking about? What are you talking about? He keeps saying this. This person is not trustworthy. What person do you have in mind?

Speaker D
00:23:36

A certain person that I know.

Speaker A
00:23:38

What is that person's name?

Speaker D
00:23:40

Anthony Marsh.

Speaker A
00:23:42

Then why is he not trustworthy?

Speaker D
00:23:45

Well, you can look up his criminal background. You see that he's been in a lot of trouble.

Speaker A
00:23:53

Okay, and what's your relationship with him?

Speaker D
00:23:57

I. When I was sick. Well, I am single. I was seeing him for a short time.

Speaker A
00:24:04

When did that start and when did that stop?

Speaker D
00:24:08

It started in probably July of last year. And I still continued. I have seen him.

Speaker A
00:24:16

Okay, so it's an ongoing. So it's still happening. So you're not historically past that.

Speaker D
00:24:21

That's.

Speaker A
00:24:21

That's an in progress thing. Still happening. You see him on roughly routine basis, right?

Speaker D
00:24:27

Well, routine guy. I don't know what you call routine.

Speaker A
00:24:29

Okay, I'm not going to split hairs with you. Routine with the definition of right. You see him frequently?

Speaker D
00:24:39

At least weekly.

Speaker A
00:24:40

Okay, weekly. We'll settle on that. That's fine. And you feel that this person is untrustworthy?

Speaker D
00:24:46

Very untrustworthy.

Speaker A
00:24:48

Then if he's so untrustworthy, why are you still with him?

Speaker D
00:24:53

Probably for the same reason I was with Ted.

Speaker C
00:24:55

Okay, what's your. Let me ask you this. How do you. What do you think about as your sister? You guys get along?

Speaker D
00:25:05

Well, we have our whole life just got along recently had a little mishap in our life, but yes, we love each other.

Speaker C
00:25:16

We love each other. So she.

Speaker D
00:25:18

We. We left the Apartment. Loving each other. Okay.

Speaker C
00:25:23

And does she. Does she tell you everything?

Speaker D
00:25:29

Oh, I don't know. She tells me everything. No, by everything you mean everything.

Speaker C
00:25:35

I mean, we talk, but what's your relationship? Are you guys like best friends?

Speaker D
00:25:41

Yes, we were. We were very close.

Speaker C
00:25:43

So you trust her?

Speaker F
00:25:44

Yes.

Speaker C
00:25:45

Trust her with everything?

Speaker D
00:25:47

Yes, I trust her.

Speaker C
00:25:50

And she trusts you?

Speaker D
00:25:52

I think so.

Speaker F
00:25:54

Right?

Speaker D
00:25:55

Yes.

Speaker C
00:25:56

That's the bond that a sisters and siblings have. Especially sisters. Right?

Speaker D
00:26:02

Yes.

Speaker C
00:26:03

Okay. So, you know, I mean, you got to trust her. Right? So. So you keep. And I know what happened between you two was staying between you two. Correct.

Speaker D
00:26:21

Anything in our lives that happened to.

Speaker C
00:26:23

Us, anything that you guys do, whether it's good, bad or the other, Having.

Speaker D
00:26:28

Our children, roots apart. Yes. And her husband was abusive to her. Yes. They stay between us.

Speaker C
00:26:39

So let's talk about your father again. Tell me about what happened that day.

Speaker D
00:26:47

If you're trying to get me to say what Anthony told you, I don't.

Speaker C
00:26:53

Anthony didn't tell me anything. I don't know what you're talking about. This Anthony. Okay.

Speaker D
00:27:02

Anthony's the only person that we were joking around and things were said.

Speaker A
00:27:09

Okay. You mind if I step in?

Speaker C
00:27:12

Other.

Speaker A
00:27:12

Go ahead.

Speaker C
00:27:14

Other than your sister, correct?

Speaker D
00:27:17

Other than my sister, yes.

Speaker C
00:27:20

So your sister. Your sister knows what happened, Correct. The real truth of what happened? Correct.

Speaker D
00:27:35

My sister and I are bonded together, yes.

Speaker C
00:27:38

Correct. And you guys share a bond that is something that no one else can ever share, correct?

Speaker F
00:27:48

Correct.

Speaker C
00:27:50

Okay. And you said here that your sister is very trusting to you, right?

Speaker F
00:27:58

Yes.

Speaker C
00:27:59

I know exactly what happened that night. So this is your opportunity.

Speaker D
00:28:11

You have to tell me who told you something different happened that night. Who told you something different happened. There has to be somebody who told you something.

Speaker C
00:28:21

I know. I know about the drink,.

Speaker D
00:28:27

But who told you?

Speaker A
00:28:28

I'm just gonna. Okay, just let me just walk you through this a little bit just to bring you up to speed. Okay. The conversation that you had with Mr. Marsh.
Yes, we were listening to that conversation. Okay. Okay, so we can cut to the chase, that there was no joking about this having digital, crystal clear clarity so you can read between the lines.
Okay. I actually have the same clarity with your sister. You talked to her about an hour ago. So I'm going to tell you one more time.
You're not going to come out on the end of this in a very good fashion because you're telling the truth about what happened. We try to give you ample opportunity to tell what happened, but now you know the. I know what happened.

Speaker D
00:29:16

I wanted to know who told it.

Speaker A
00:29:18

I just told you that. Okay, so we're going to cut through the bs. Agreed?

Speaker D
00:29:23

Agreed.

Speaker A
00:29:24

Okay. Now answer his questions and let's move forward with this. Okay? Do you understand?

Speaker D
00:29:30

I understand, but you don't have to.

Speaker C
00:29:32

Be rough with me, ma'.

Speaker F
00:29:33

Am.

Speaker A
00:29:34

I've given you three or four opportunities to tell the truth. And remember, we were very upfront with you, and you're not being upfront with us.

Speaker F
00:29:40

He.

Speaker A
00:29:40

He said, I'm going to be very upfront with you about what happened, and you kind of disrespected him a little bit by not doing that. I'm just trying to put us on the right path here. Do you understand that? We will be fine, but I can't have you wandering off the reservation.
Do you understand? Okay, so now let's walk through this again.

Speaker C
00:29:58

So talk to us a little bit now.

Speaker D
00:30:00

Okay, tell me. My sister and I were lying in bed and my father, was he dementia. He was calling both me and my sister by my mother's name. He was.
I knew he was dying because he had this mass in his lung cancer. And she said to me, she held my hand and she said, I can't remember the exact words, but you can't let dad suffer like this. And we were both crying.
And so she said, can we euthanize him some way to put him out of his misery?

Speaker A
00:30:53

Who said this? I didn't hear that part.

Speaker D
00:30:55

I don't know who said it.

Speaker A
00:30:56

It was said, is what you're saying. Just so you understand what you're saying. Oh, continue. Sorry.

Speaker D
00:31:01

And I said, well, he takes his double sleeping pills so we could give him a few more sleeping pills and he would just go to sleep.

Speaker C
00:31:13

Whose idea was that?

Speaker D
00:31:15

I don't know whose idea it was. Particularly. My sister and my father had been fighting terribly that night, and my sister.
Sister went home to her house and they had very, very harsh words. The night before, he. About. He was. He was calling her not nice names, saying that she. I mean, it's hard to remember exactly, but they were yelling.
Had they had a yelling match at each other? So she did have an anger at that time.

Speaker C
00:32:00

Okay, so then what happened?

Speaker D
00:32:02

So I felt very bad for my father that he was suffering so bad. He was in pain. He couldn't breathe. He was having labor breathing. So we took him for a ride for the beach. He always wanted to go to the beach.
And then he. We brought him home. And she took the sleeping pills.

Speaker C
00:32:32

How many?

Speaker D
00:32:33

I don't know. She probably put maybe 10 if I had to guess.

Speaker C
00:32:40

Okay.

Speaker D
00:32:41

Until big Glass of. He always had a shot of vodka before he went to bed. And she made this big giant drink in a drink with the Jacob in it. He drank maybe this much of it.
And he.

Speaker F
00:33:00

He was.

Speaker D
00:33:01

Had his little Saint Joseph carries at night, and he dropped them and he lay down and went to sleep.

Speaker C
00:33:13

And then what happened?

Speaker D
00:33:16

He opened his eyes, but then he closed them immediately after he opened them. And my sister said, he's obviously not. It's not working.

Speaker C
00:33:35

He's not dead.

Speaker D
00:33:36

Yeah, he had not. He had not died. Right.

Speaker A
00:33:39

And how was he acting during this? Just everything was normal or was he off kilter? Did it have any effect on him at all or anything?

Speaker D
00:33:47

Oh, yeah, he was. He was semi conscious.

Speaker A
00:33:50

I was thinking, okay, understood.

Speaker D
00:33:53

So. My sister and I both said, well, we've started euthanizing him. He's. Now he.

Speaker A
00:34:08

Understand.

Speaker D
00:34:10

We have to finish it now.

Speaker C
00:34:15

Okay. What'd you do?

Speaker D
00:34:16

So I just got a hand washcloth.

Speaker C
00:34:19

Who got the hand washcloth?

Speaker D
00:34:22

I believe I did, but I'm not 100% sure.

Speaker A
00:34:26

Where did it come from?

Speaker D
00:34:28

The bathroom.

Speaker C
00:34:28

Okay.

Speaker D
00:34:30

And she held his nose and what'd you do? And I put that washcloth in his mouth and.

Speaker C
00:34:37

To block the airway.

Speaker D
00:34:38

Block the airway. And it was just.

Speaker C
00:34:41

Did he move around? Was he trying to fight it A little bit?

Speaker D
00:34:46

He acted like he had to go to the bathroom is what the main thing I remember about it.

Speaker A
00:34:54

Okay.

Speaker D
00:34:54

And he urinated.

Speaker C
00:34:56

Did anyone hold his hands?

Speaker D
00:35:02

I did not hold his hands.

Speaker C
00:35:03

Did your sister hold his hands? She may have to stop him from fighting or anything.

Speaker D
00:35:10

He wasn't fighting too much because he was drugged from the sleeping pills.

Speaker A
00:35:15

But there was some movements there.

Speaker D
00:35:17

He did move his hands.

Speaker A
00:35:18

Okay, that's what we're asking you. Okay.

Speaker C
00:35:20

All right.

Speaker D
00:35:21

And she was holding his nose.

Speaker C
00:35:22

Okay.

Speaker D
00:35:23

And. He stopped breathing, but he still had a pulse. But I didn't realize he had a face make. I did realize it then that he had.
It took me a while to realize why he still had a pulse. Because he had a face maker.

Speaker C
00:35:46

So then at that time, when you realize once he had died, what did you do? What did you guys do at that time? Because this. What time did this happen at night? Was it in the middle of the night?

Speaker D
00:35:59

Probably towards the middle of the night, yeah.

Speaker F
00:36:02

Okay.

Speaker C
00:36:03

Was there anyone else in the house?

Speaker D
00:36:04

Yes, my niece.

Speaker A
00:36:05

Okay.

Speaker D
00:36:06

She was in the other bedroom.

Speaker C
00:36:08

All right, did. What did you. What did you guys do to. To. To her?

Speaker D
00:36:12

Well, we didn't do anything to her. She asked for a sleeping pill because she was having a Lot of anxiety.

Speaker C
00:36:20

And what kind of sleeping pill? Did you, did you give it to her?

Speaker D
00:36:23

Yes, I gave her one of my.

Speaker A
00:36:24

Ambien, but not one of his. Meaning your father's.

Speaker D
00:36:28

I believe it was his now.

Speaker A
00:36:30

You think it was one of yours because you gave your own prescription.

Speaker D
00:36:32

Yes.

Speaker A
00:36:32

Okay.

Speaker D
00:36:33

Yeah.

Speaker C
00:36:33

So let's back up here. So the night before, or was it the night before that you and your daughter, your sister, were talking about wanting to, to do this?

Speaker D
00:36:44

Yes, it was at night that she had the bad argument with my father.

Speaker C
00:36:49

Okay, so you two are laying in bed and then you guys discussed about wanting to end his life, Is that correct?

Speaker D
00:36:59

Well, I took it as euthanasia. I'm sorry, I've been in the medical field. I felt.

Speaker A
00:37:08

Well, I understand that. No, I understand that's what your, your thought process. But there was a discussion about it the night before, that this was going to happen.
This wasn't like a two second thing. You, they just did it. There was some discussion because obviously you want to make sure your sister's on board with this.
I mean, you could see that could be a problem.

Speaker D
00:37:29

Yes, we both felt that at the time. That.

Speaker A
00:37:32

So you talked about. That's all I'm saying.

Speaker C
00:37:33

Yeah.

Speaker A
00:37:33

Okay, I understand.

Speaker C
00:37:35

So then whose, I, whose idea was it for the pills?

Speaker D
00:37:42

Well, I, I don't remember exactly, but she said, dad has sleeping pills. And I said, yes, sleeping pills would be the easiest and he would just go to sleep.

Speaker C
00:37:52

Did you. What, when, what kind of pills was it that you guys gave them?

Speaker D
00:37:59

I believe he took Restoril.

Speaker C
00:38:01

Restoral at the time. Did you give him any of your pills?

Speaker D
00:38:11

I don't. I honestly don't remember because I had them for me. They were mine.

Speaker C
00:38:19

So you don't know if you gave.

Speaker D
00:38:20

Them your pills exactly. To be honest with you, I don't remember. I remember giving it. She got the. I don't know who even got the pills to the rest of the room.

Speaker C
00:38:34

I know you, you tried. When he woke up and opened his eyes and you guys went ahead and did the washcloth, Right?
Prior to doing the washcloth, you used a pillow and it didn't work.

Speaker D
00:38:52

Well, that. I don't remember honestly using a pillow. That. Honest to God, I do not remember using a pillow. I honest with you about that.
I don't remember ever saying I used a pillow. You used a pillow?

Speaker C
00:39:08

No, not, not.

Speaker A
00:39:09

Do you remember saying it? Do you remember the incident in which you used the pillow? That's different. That's a different question.

Speaker D
00:39:15

I don't remember using the pillow. I just remember getting the washcloth.

Speaker C
00:39:18

Well, because you tried the pillow first.

Speaker D
00:39:22

I don't remember. I honestly do not remember using a pillow. I don't remember a pillow being used.

Speaker C
00:39:30

But you did. So when he was laying on the couch. Okay. And he opened his eyes. And you. When you went to get the washcloth, where did you get it again?

Speaker D
00:39:41

His bathroom. The master bathroom.

Speaker C
00:39:44

And where was your sister when this was going on?

Speaker D
00:39:46

She was with him.

Speaker C
00:39:51

Was he trying to. Was he out of it or was he trying to get up or.

Speaker D
00:39:55

No, he didn't try to get up. He moved his arms. I remember that. That I remember now.

Speaker C
00:40:05

Is it true that he did not want to go to the. That group home or the.

Speaker D
00:40:11

Correct.

Speaker C
00:40:13

And it was. Was it a burden watching your dad because you guys had to spend so much time going there?

Speaker D
00:40:20

No, that was nothing to do with being a burden. He was going to be in a beautiful place. He had the insurance that covered it,.

Speaker C
00:40:29

But he didn't want to go there.

Speaker D
00:40:30

They were going to have to put him eventually when he got there. They were going to put him, I'm sure, in the Alzheimer's lockdown.

Speaker A
00:40:36

He didn't like it, is what I'm saying. Whether it was the best thing for him or not. He personally did not like.

Speaker D
00:40:41

He was begging a lady, Shirley's niece, who was known to be on crack cocaine. He was begging her to stay with him and take care of her when we knew she was on crack cocaine.

Speaker A
00:40:53

I understand this, but the long and the short of it is that he was resistant to going there regardless. It was the best thing for him. All these other collateral matters. He was resistant to going there. Is that correct?

Speaker D
00:41:06

He was resistant because he did not have his mind.

Speaker A
00:41:09

I understand, but I'm just. We're just walking through this. I'm just saying. I'm not saying that wasn't the best thing for him. We're not getting any of that.
I understand where you thought it was, and maybe it was. I'm just saying he personally was resistant to it for whatever variety of reasons. He just didn't want to do it.

Speaker D
00:41:22

No.

Speaker A
00:41:23

Okay. That's all.

Speaker C
00:41:25

And was. So you and your sister were spending a lot of time there?

Speaker D
00:41:29

My niece was.

Speaker C
00:41:30

And your niece?

Speaker F
00:41:31

We were working.

Speaker C
00:41:32

Okay.

Speaker D
00:41:34

She watched him today.

Speaker C
00:41:36

But then when you get home from work, that's where you were staying?

Speaker D
00:41:40

Yes.

Speaker C
00:41:41

Okay. And then what? I just don't. What made the. The decision to do this? What. Why did it prompt that night when.

Speaker D
00:41:52

The doctor called and told me that he had this giant Mass in his lung that was solid. And that he could live two weeks,.

Speaker A
00:42:05

Two months.

Speaker D
00:42:06

Two months.

Speaker A
00:42:06

You have no idea. It was. That more likely it was going to be fatal. Okay. That's what I'm trying to say.

Speaker D
00:42:13

He was in such misery and mentally so out of it that. You know the rest of the story.

Speaker A
00:42:24

My guess is, let me ask you this. You must have been torn about this.

Speaker D
00:42:27

I mean, you know, I was terribly torn about it.

Speaker A
00:42:31

I understand you have your father. That's. That's there, and he's suffering. But, you know, ultimately this was not proper or not lawful. Let's just put it that way. You're a smart person.

Speaker D
00:42:48

At the time, I felt I was euthanizing my father and helping him.

Speaker A
00:42:53

I understand that.

Speaker D
00:42:54

That is my honest answer I can give you.

Speaker C
00:42:56

But looking back and looking at it, I mean, you're smart. You. You got your certification with the, you know, for an assistant. Okay, Medical assistant. You're a smart lady.
I mean, do you think that's lawful for someone to do?

Speaker A
00:43:22

Take the morality out of it?

Speaker D
00:43:23

Because Anthony told me. No, it was not lawful.

Speaker A
00:43:28

You don't. Let me ask you this. You don't know, independently of Anthony telling you whether that was right. Forget was it morally right or anything.
I'm just saying, lawfully, you had to know that that was not lawful. It was legal to do that.

Speaker D
00:43:50

No, I guess it is not legal to do that.

Speaker A
00:43:52

Right. Because if it was legal to do that, you would have came out and just told us what happened. And you didn't do that.
You knew there had to be a downside to this.

Speaker D
00:44:04

Already told me that it was not legal to do what we did. I felt I euthanized him and put him on.

Speaker A
00:44:13

I understand.

Speaker D
00:44:13

Nothing else to say.

Speaker A
00:44:15

No, I understand, but that's. That's because, you see, you saw your dad was suffering. I totally understand that.
But if you take that part of it out, the act of just doing that is not lawful is what I'm trying to say. This is why. This is where we're at. That's why there's a problem.

Speaker F
00:44:31

Okay.

Speaker A
00:44:32

Okay. That's all. That's all I'm saying.

Speaker C
00:44:34

Just so you know, let me ask you this. Did you guys get any. An inheritance or anything from your father?

Speaker D
00:44:42

We all three got an inheritance.

Speaker C
00:44:44

And how much did you get?

Speaker D
00:44:46

Myself?

Speaker A
00:44:47

Yes.

Speaker D
00:44:48

About $110,000.

Speaker C
00:44:52

You got 110.

Speaker A
00:44:54

Split evenly between the three of you.

Speaker C
00:44:57

You?

Speaker A
00:44:58

Yes, you, your sister and your brother.

Speaker D
00:45:01

Yes, I was the power attorney.

Speaker C
00:45:03

So how much did you personally get?

Speaker D
00:45:06

I got no more than my brother and sister. Everything was split evenly, and it was.

Speaker C
00:45:11

110Split three ways about that.

Speaker D
00:45:16

And it was his house that sold. His.

Speaker C
00:45:19

And then you got his house that sold.

Speaker D
00:45:21

I didn't get it.

Speaker F
00:45:22

It was just.

Speaker C
00:45:24

Okay, so you had the house. You guys split the house in three, and then 110,000. Is that.

Speaker A
00:45:32

Maybe I misunderstand. Would you get 100. Did you each get 110,000 a piece? Is that what you're saying? Am I clear on that?

Speaker D
00:45:38

Or about. I have.

Speaker A
00:45:39

Okay, that's fine. I'm just saying. I think we're just. We're misunderstanding that you didn't split 110,000. You each got 110,000. Is that where we're roughly.
Just saying, just so we're. We're clear on what we're talking about. Okay, now let me ask you, what's your brother's name again?

Speaker D
00:45:55

Charles. Thom.

Speaker A
00:45:56

Now, what does he know about what we just talked about here? Does he know any of this, or does he just think this just went the way portrayed it? No way. The family knows. Your sister knows, but that's it, Cor.
Okay.

Speaker C
00:46:07

And no one else knows?

Speaker D
00:46:09

No. Other than Anthony.

Speaker A
00:46:11

Okay.

Speaker C
00:46:13

And did your knee. What did you say to your niece in the morning when you guys discovered him, when you told him he had.

Speaker D
00:46:22

Died during his sleep?

Speaker C
00:46:25

Did he. Did he have any. Did he urinate or anything like that during the process? Was that happening? When did that happen? Was it during?

Speaker D
00:46:38

I guess it was when he was dying.

Speaker F
00:46:41

Urinated, which is normal.

Speaker C
00:46:44

Is that when you guys were. When you had the rag over his mouth and your sister had her finger closing his nose?

Speaker A
00:46:54

Okay, before we mentioned. Before we got into kind of what I'll call the truthful section of what happened here, you'd said that Anthony was not a trustworthy person.
Now, when you say that, my feeling about that is that you were trying to deflect what he was going to tell us. But I will tell you that it was spot on.
So I'm just trying to tell you your opinion about Anthony may be different, but it's not about him being untruthful about this, because I'm just telling you what was said was almost verbatim. So.

Speaker D
00:47:33

Well, if he was wired, obviously.

Speaker A
00:47:34

Okay, this is what I'm trying to say, but you try to portray him as being an untrustworthy person as it pertains to this, when in fact, you know that's not the case, because obviously, you know, we heard verbatim, and he's not untrustworthy when it comes to this,.

Speaker D
00:47:50

Maybe to this, but other things.

Speaker A
00:47:52

Oh, he may be. I have no knowledge about that.
But I'm talking about, as it pertains to this, you were trying to lead us to believe that he was untrustworthy about this particular thing, and that's actually not the case. You understand that?

Speaker D
00:48:03

Yes, I agree.

Speaker A
00:48:04

And I'm not condoning any other behavior which I have no knowledge of that he's involved or not involved in, as it pertains to. This is all I'm concerned about. You understand what my question is? You understand that? Okay,.

Speaker D
00:48:17

So if he came to you with it, do.

Speaker C
00:48:20

Do you have. Let me ask you this, and I know this may be.

Speaker B
00:48:26

Are you.

Speaker C
00:48:28

Basically when you came and told us this, right now, I know you're driving. Are you under any influence at all?

Speaker D
00:48:37

Illegal drugs?

Speaker C
00:48:38

Speaker D
00:48:38

No, I never take illegal drugs.

Speaker A
00:48:41

Okay.

Speaker F

All right.

Speaker A
00:48:42

And the.

Speaker D
00:48:43

I take my heart medication. I take my thyroid medication. I take my mild tranquilizer.

Speaker C
00:48:51

That is.

Speaker D
00:48:51

Prescribed by an md. I never have taken illegal drugs.

Speaker A
00:48:56

Okay, and also let me ask you this. The night that this happened, were you of sound mind and you were not on illegal narcotics? No. I understand. But you weren't high on complete.
Another set of drugs? You said you don't do that. I'm just making sure. That's what we're talking about. Okay.

Speaker C
00:49:14

Were you ruined?

Speaker D
00:49:15

No.

Speaker A
00:49:16

Okay.

Speaker C
00:49:18

Speaker A
00:49:33

Speaker D
00:49:42

I don't mind chatting with my sister. Of course not.

Speaker A
00:49:45

Speaker F
00:55:44

Have sex with him or turn again. I said, but you turn me in. I'm having sex with you. I have nothing to say. I thought this is my girl. I thought I could trust him.

Speaker D
00:56:19

I was having a hard time.

Speaker F
00:56:20

I was having dreams.

Speaker D
00:56:22

I was.

Speaker F
00:56:22

Yeah, you had. You weren't speaking to me. I had no one to talk to. You weren't speaking to me either. Now look at us. We're going to fucking jail. My life is over.

Speaker D
00:56:36

So is mine.

Speaker F
00:56:37

I thought about taking the string and hanging myself in the other room. Taking these off of here and hanging in in the room Killing myself just now.

Speaker D
00:56:45

Take them off.

Speaker F
00:56:47

What? These springs come out of my boots. You can hang yourself. I was going to tie it so tight that I couldn't breathe.
Anyone the man is stolen from lied she did on a person. Person on earth. We know what we did and we did it for a reason. I told him why we did it. It doesn't matter what you tell that monster.
I told the police why we did. I told him why he did did it. When my. My father was had dementia and he was getting worse every day. It was uncontrollable and he had.
We had gotten a call with the lung cancer. It's true that none of it's a lie. I know.

Speaker D
00:57:53

He said.

Speaker F
00:57:56

However, Anthony said it was my idea. You told him it was my idea.

Speaker D
00:58:01

I told him you had argued with dad the night before.

Speaker F
00:58:05

We all had an argument with dad. Dad called us back several times. Who gave.

Speaker D
00:58:11

It was a bad argument in the house.

Speaker F
00:58:15

I remember a bad argument in the house. Over what? Cuz everyone eat something.

Speaker D
00:58:21

No, because you didn't want to go look down and.

Speaker F
00:58:24

Well, he wasn't bad at all. Doesn't matter.

Speaker D
00:58:31

That had nothing to do with me. Am I allowed to get my medicine?

Speaker F
00:58:34

I don't know. My purse is in my car. They arrested me at work.

Speaker D
00:58:42

Get in my purse. I mean it's time for me to take my medicine. They have to get take your heart medicine stuff. God's sakes. Ask me if I'm some illegal drugs ailing.

00:59:06

The jail will give you your medicine.

Speaker D
00:59:08

Okay?

Speaker F
00:59:23

Of course you are you stupid. How could you call me when he over that night told you I'm afraid of him. And he said he wouldn't turn or see what he said he was wired. He was wired?

Speaker A
00:59:58

Yes.

Speaker F
00:59:59

He said how do I hurt my. But the same story was told then was told now. As soon as I saw that picture I thought that there were folding here I saw a picture of dad. I knew. It.
I hope there's a woman in the house. Somebody has to take care of Oliver. You're worried about Oliver?

Speaker D
01:01:28

I don't want to let the dog die.

Speaker F
01:01:34

Yeah, pretty us dying.

Speaker D
01:01:36

I know my life's over.

Speaker F
01:01:58

So what at that time we didn't want. We felt that wasn't there May. He may have been served go through chemotherapy that doctor said had tumor took up his law He.
He may have lived on what year whatever. I don't know. I don't know what his fate was but his dimensions of was even with Mr. Wood we would put him in Brookdale.
He wasn't going to last in the regular room anyway. We've already discussed this and at that moment I couldn't help a lot watching that suffer that way. He wasn't living. He had. He wasn't living in life.
One minute he was in real life and next minute he wasn't in real life. Getting face in here. Yeah, it's freaking I asked the fact I was Jack and he said no. I've been here since 9 o'. Clock. He's getting out of my car.
I didn't know if I were supposed to call an attorney. I didn't know what to do. They said they had a question to ask. May I answer the question? Moving into this for. I stand there.
Anyone on this earth that you thought you could trust was him. The man tried to steal from you and everything and things that he put you through. You thought he could trust that person?
Well, he said he was trustworthy police officer he was trustworthy. Well he's a very good actor. Centering. No. Talk to priest confess to come we have done that for every night.
They have no right to keep my heart medication from me. All I want them in part on blood pressure medication too and potassium. I'll die in three days. They didn't ask me what medication time was.
I'll die in three days without my medications I can't go without blood pressure medication I can't go without potassium. Dry wire of tone. They didn't even let Me take my purse. Did you call Andy? I'm calling Chad. I just got here. Because you do.
No, I was putting injunction against Ted. You were here? No, I was at 49 Street. Oh. They called me on the way home. He said we wait here for you.
Well, if you have a phone number, I'm sure you can look it up on your name.

Speaker D
01:09:38

I'm trying to think.

Speaker F
01:09:46

Still vulnerable. Send you gifts to and you thought you could trust him. We did what we did. No one was in our situation. No one saw that the way we did.
I told her that's the way and that's the way way I. I may not make it right. That's the way I felt. That's what I felt at that point. I couldn't watch my father suffer that way. Had nothing to do with his money.

Speaker A
01:10:45

It.

Speaker F
01:11:14

I take my dad just wanted to. How do you know? Come on. Come on. I'm sure we'll take all I don't care what they take. My life is over. So is mine. Be in prison the rest of our life.
Know that, right? I don't know if the chart. Why did you tell anything? It was my idea.

Speaker D
01:14:37

Can I be honest with you?

Speaker F
01:14:38

I don't remember some conversation I can't remember. My memory is not used to the after the stroke so I don't remember the exact conversation that you had with him.

Speaker D
01:14:52

Yes,.

Speaker F
01:14:56

Sid. You told that it was my idea. We know it was not my idea. I We spoke about it. We agreed. I watched it. We dared to call the staff to the house.
Called said who was judge and jury to put him in the system.

Speaker D
01:15:23

We all had.

Speaker F
01:15:23

We all. He called us all. We never we all turn into attorneys. You don't remember that when judges almost halfway home to Dan's house that night.
Chuck was there. He was closer to some J guy, but he couldn't turn around. But that had nothing to do with. Was watching dad suffering away. He was. He had no life left.
But perhaps it was not our choice to make that decision. And that is what we're here for. Wasn't our choice. We lived.

Speaker D
01:16:07

We lived with him.

Speaker F
01:16:09

We spent the night with him. We saw it. He was not living a life. From our perspective. That's where we felt it was better for dad to live in peace.

Speaker C
01:16:31

Than.

Speaker F
01:16:32

To try to go through a surgery and his mind keep on getting worse and worse.

Speaker B
01:16:43

It.

Speaker F
01:17:22

I told you he was a trustworthy man. After all those things you should we said you hired a private detective and found out about you what was most.

Speaker D
01:17:43

Of the assets and things like that.

Speaker F
01:17:47

And that he had been in prison. May not check. He's not the one that did me right now. Oh, yeah, but here's a rap sheet. We do not. Well, it's over now. Our lives are over. We're done.
We're dead. Do we get an attorney? Can we hire our own? Get one.

Speaker A
01:21:16

Okay, we have your keys because where.

Speaker E

Speaker F
01:21:24

Yes.

Speaker A
01:21:24

You want to give her these keys? Is that okay or no?

Speaker F
01:21:27

Oh, yeah.

Speaker C
01:21:28

And these are your glasses. Those are yours.

Speaker E
01:21:31

Okay. So this will go with you probably.

Speaker A
01:21:34

That's it. Just because if she has to get access to anything or do whatever.

Speaker D
01:21:37

Okay.

Speaker A
01:21:37

She's a trustworthy person.

Speaker D
01:21:41

I could die.

Speaker E
01:21:43

We're taking you to the jail now. We have a full hospital out the jail, okay? We have doctors. They have every medication you can imagine.
We spend millions of dollars a year on medications out there.

Speaker D
01:21:51

It and I.

Speaker A
01:21:53

Those are mine.

Speaker E

01:22:11

So that's another thing.

Speaker F
01:22:15

Does my daughter know we're going to.

Speaker E
01:22:17

Go talk to the detectives. No, we're.

Speaker C
01:22:19

We're going to talk to your daughter now.

Speaker E
01:22:22

All right.

Speaker D
01:22:23

How about my dad?

Speaker F
01:22:26

Your daughter, her husband is from military.

Speaker E
01:22:30

Okay. We.

Speaker A
01:22:32

We need to speak to them. There's other people we need to speak with, so that'll be one of them also.

Speaker F
01:22:36

So you didn't ask me her name, my daughter did. You.

Speaker C
01:22:41

We know your daughter.

Speaker A
01:22:42

We knew we had this background. We just didn't tell you all that.

Speaker E
01:22:45

So this is one we don't know about, but.

Speaker D
01:22:47

Oh, okay.

Speaker C
01:22:49

Okay.

Speaker A
01:22:50

He's going to switch these out real quick for you and thanks for us.

Speaker E
01:22:55

I'll keep them up front.

Speaker F
01:22:56

Okay.

Speaker A
01:22:59

These are yours? Yes. And those are mine. Is that right?

Speaker F
01:23:06

How can I go on this lone and kind of.

Speaker A
01:23:10

Is there someone we can call to. We'll get that. We'll do that.

Speaker E
01:23:16

Okay. But like I said, keeping them up front, they're going to be exactly the same. They're hinged instead of chain.
I don't know if you notice the difference, but it'll be. It'll be pretty much the same thing. I know.

Speaker C
01:23:31

What's your daughter's phone number?

Speaker F
01:23:32

771-3311.

Speaker E
01:23:36

Keep your hand shaped.

Speaker C
01:23:37

And her first name?

Speaker E
01:23:38

Yeah, just straight up and down. I'm gonna switch the cuffs out.

Speaker A
01:24:00

No, that's hers. Here, I got.

Speaker E
01:24:03

All right. I got this back in there.

Speaker A
01:24:25

You hang under these.

Speaker C
01:24:26

These ones are the ones the apartment.

Speaker D
01:24:29

The pink one opens the door.

Speaker A
01:24:31

We will contact her, and then I'll.

Speaker E
01:24:33

Give this in hand. Okay. All right.

Speaker A
01:24:36

We're on board.

Speaker E
01:24:39

Yes. I'm going to give this to you. Okay.

Speaker A
01:24:41

I'm giving yours.

Speaker E
01:24:43

Okay.

Speaker A
01:24:43

I'm just making sure we're all good. Okay.

Speaker C
01:24:47

Okay, perfect.

Speaker A
01:24:49

Thank you very much, folks.

Speaker F
01:24:51

Thank you, sir.

Speaker A
01:24:55

And again, I'm going to double lock these.

Speaker E
01:24:56

That way they don't stitch down. Okay. All right, let's drink.

Speaker F
01:25:02

Okay.

Speaker E
01:25:05

Walk down this way. Got the purse. We'll go with you. Is this yours?

Speaker F
01:25:10

No, it's hers.

Speaker E
01:25:11

It's hers. Okay. I'll make sure they don't.

Speaker F
01:25:14

She has had a stroke. They have excellent medical care downstairs.

Speaker E
01:25:27

That's why we're guiding.
